Happy Holidays!

Well hello!

Here we are at another end of the year, and what a year it's been! The Crazy Creole Mommy Chronicles saw major growth and development all thanks to all of you who have supported me and my IBD advocacy. Jax has become a model and actor...yes, I know, I know! Life is changing and all for the better. I wanted to just send over a little note with some information regarding publications I've been in over the past few months and some cool charities I support.

Please stay tuned to The Chronicles for some great changes in 2014 with twitter parties, giveaways and a new YouTube channel. I hope you all have a blessed and wonderful holiday and we'll see you in he new year!

xo

I've been asked by Single Mom Planet to bring a little Crazy Creole flavor to their blog site. Single Mom Planet empowers single moms & single moms to be, do and have a dynamic life no matter what! I feel very honored to have been asked to join the Single Mom Planet community because of all the great work the owner, Neferteri Shepherd and her team are doing for single moms by giving them the tools and access to resources that will help them be the best moms they can be through programs and mentorship. Please check it out when you get a chance.
Congratulations to my bonzaibaby Photography clients, Alfonso & Angela Ribeiro on the new addition to their family, Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro Jr. Check out the article in inTouch Weekly and the photos from our photo shoot when AJ was just a few days old.
For this holiday season, one of our favorite companies, Kuyam is donating $5 from every gift card purchased to The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Kuyam is a great mommy service in Los Angeles & New York that will book & pre-pay (if you want) appointments for you through an app and online when you don't have time to call. I love it because there are so many times that I am sick and can't really chat on the phone or I end up calling during off hours, and need to book an appointment for myself or Jax. Kuyam makes it so much easier! Please check them out! I am actually giving away a $25 gift card that is good toward any service offered on Kuyam. Check it out! Contest ends tomorrow!
Thanks to The Crohn's Journey Foundation for this information on Inflammatory Bowel Disease! I unfortunately have had all of these symptoms over the past few years because of Ulcerative Colitis. Don't wait, get checked out if you experience at least two of these symptoms plus intestinal issues.
A big thanks to The Crohn's & Colitis Effect for letting me join their special roundtable discussion for Crohn's & Colitis Awareness Week. Check it out HERE
Please help me pay it forward by donating to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America that has offered patients like me great tools and resources to live a better quality of life. Check out my fundraising page. You could save a life. Donate HERE and make sure it counts to the Crazy Creole Mommy Chronicles Page. I'll have a special gift for my highest donor!

Yay for new things! I met a young lady named, Kristin on twitter who then linked me with her friend, Brooke. Both are IBD patients who are currently in stages of getting a permanent J-Pouch, like me! These women started a great online magazine for patients like us called, Companion Magazine for IBD. And I was very honored when they asked if they could feature me & The Crazy Creole Mommy Chronicles in their inaugural issue. This magazine has inspiring stories, medical information, resources for everyday life and other tools you need to get through life with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Even if you don't have IBD, please check out the magazine. Perhaps you can find a resource for a friend or relative. It's a great read and very inspirational. BIG THANKS to Brooke & Kristin! And congratulations to both of them on making it through step 2 of the 3 step colectomy/J-Pouch insertion surgery.
There is still time to give a tax-deductible donation to a non-profit. Here are some of my absolute favorites! The HollyRod Foundation, The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, The Crohn's Journey Foundation, Single Mom Planet, W.A.K.E Up For Autism & The Village Project. All of these non-profits help people all over live a better quality of life through their health challenges.
