We’ve changed a few things this term. Here’s why.

Our success coaching service has changed and students who book an appointment may be referred to a peer success coach or success coach. Our peer success coaches are upper-year students who have completed intensive training and receive on-going support from the success coaches.  This support and training, along with their own experience as Waterloo students, allows them to provide excellent resources and strategies for the majority of students.  Students with a more complex set of concerns will still be referred to a success coach (full-time staff).

Drop-in study sessions will not be offered this term. Please refer your students to the Writing Centre’s drop-in locations instead.

These changes help to ensure that we are making the best use of our resources and allow the success coaches time to develop support strategies for targeted student groups and deliver UNIV 101.
