Dear Friends,

I can't thank you enough for your partnership last year.  Together we made some great strides, especially among the
Fula.  We served some of the most dedicated missionaries on earth, who reported the following fruit in 2016:
         33,596 Salvations
           1,277 Bible School Students Trained
                70 New Churches Planted
18,195 Bibles and Other Christian Literature Distributed
We praise God for the fruit born last year!  We thank Him for your partnership, for we could not have done our part without you.
A particular open door lies before us in 2017.  We started our last
LWM Family Retreat seeking direction from the Lord.  Direction came during a time of corporate prayer, "The next big wave for LWM is Chad."

Chad is not a new nation for LWM.  Our affiliates, Justin and Maimouna Robaye, have worked in Chad for 20 years establishing Bible training centers and other outreaches.  Maimouna, herself of Fula descent, has started ministering to nomadic Fula in the region.
A trip to Chad to visit the Robayes and assess the potential for the Fula Project to extend to that nation is in order.  Jean-Claude Noah, our Coordinator of Field Operations, will visit the Robayes January 30th-February 8th.  I ask you to pray with us about this next step.  Please pray for Jean-Claude's safe travel and wisdom for him and the Robayes during this important trip.

Thank you for your faith and love as we go after unreached people groups this year.  Know that we are continually praying for you, that everything you have sown into LWM will be multiplied back to you.

With love and appreciation,

Jean-Claude will deliver a Jesus Film Backpack donated by LWM missionaries to workers in Chad who are ministering to the Fula.
Kulumis (solar-powered audio Bible lamps) have been received with joy by our church planters in Gambia.  Jean-Claude will deliver 10 Kulumis to workers in Chad, donated by International Family Church.
Please pray for the nation of Gambia.  After 22 years of rule by fear, the incumbent president was defeated in an election in December.  January 19th was his final day in office but he refused to depart.  Many African leaders appealed to him, some sending troops to oust him.  On January 21st, he finally departed.  This is welcome news as he made several attempts to establish Gambia a Muslim state.  Pray for the new government leaders to be sensitive to the will of God.  Finally, pray for the Gospel to have free course in Gambia.
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
Matthew 24:14
