Italian members get involved in EAfa network
On 21-22 of June the EAfA (European Alliance for Apprenticeships) conference: Apprenticeships from School to Work – The Italian Case took place in Rome.
EfVET was represented by Stefano Tirati, EfVET Vice-President (in charge of Projects) and EfVET Italian members, such as FORMA.Azione srl, Amici Di Cometa, ENAIPNet and Uniser, among others.

ET 2020 WG on VET meeting in Bulgaria
The ET 2020 Working group on VET has finished its work today in the last meeting in Pravets, Bulgaria. The group dealt with the subject “Teachers and trainers in work based learning and apprenticeships”. Santiago Garcia, President of EfVET, has represented EfVET network during the last meetings of the Working Group.

More than 300 people from employment, education and training, civil society organisations, and social partners joined the first day of the European Validation Festival - Unlocking talents in Europe, on 14 June in Brussels.

Labour market skills information systems for VET policies
On 26th June EfVET attended to CEDEFOP seminar focused on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, which was organise in cooperation with the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. In the focus were the Big Data and AI for collecting, analyzing and disseminating a wide range of data on skill supply, forecast skill needs and skill mismatches to various actors, while allowing for designing personalized training courses and up-skilling for employees and job seekers.

Projects News
Apprenticeship Alliances for SMEs
Apprenticeship Alliances for SMEs (RAISE) Erasmus+ project final event took place in Brussels on 21st June 2018. It has been an opportunity for the partners from Poland, UK, Ireland, France, Spain, The Netherlands and Belgium to present the results of their two years cooperation at European and international level; and encourage the audience, comprising of policy stakeholders, business associations, intermediary organisations, SMEs, young people and youth organisations to adapt, use and share some of the tangible outputs such as a toolkit for creating a regional apprenticeship alliance and an online course and guidelines for SMEs.
Final Conference for LifeOnline
On 12 June Life Online: Key Competences in Life Skills "Developing life and employability competences through mobility", held its final Conference at the Basque Country Delegation to the EU in Brussels. We had the opportunity to present the final results of the project and discuss about the importance of key competences which are necessary to prepare young people for work.
Mainstreaming Student Entrepreneurship International Launch
On 12 June, MASTER organized an international workshop in Brussels. This was a perfect opportunity to introduce the Needs and opportunities identified by the project. Following this, a presentation about the impact that the regional alliances (read more below) could have, but also how we could be tested the entrepreneurial skills. On the practical side, the Student Entrepreneurship Toolkit was tested with the attendees. In order to set up synergies with other stakeholders, Fernando Sigchos Jimenez (European Builders Confederation) made an introduction on how entrepreneurship and upskilling could offer opportunities in the construction sector.
LikeHome Portal
The LikeHome Project management meeting took place at the department of Psychology of the University of Bologna on the 13th of June 2018. All the partners were present and contributed to the discussion on the status of the project implementation. A fruitful debate took place on the way forward for the upcoming activities. A special emphasis was placed on looking for strategies to further disseminate the project at national and European level.
Healthy Social Media App
The third partner meeting of Healthy Social Media project was hoted by INDEO Fundación Laboral del Metal in Santander. The objectives of this meeting were to discuss the progress in Open Education Resources (OER), Health Social Media App and finalization of pilot test.

On Wednesday, 20 June, EfVET Italian National Board meeting took place in Rome. EfVET President, Santiago Garcia (via teleconference) and Stefano Tirati, Vice-President (in charge of Projects) attended to this meeting, together with the following organizations: IIS BRUNELLESCHI DA VINCI, ENAC, ENAIP NET, Scuola Camerana, FORMA.Azione srl, UNISER, I.F.O.A., COMETA, Fondazione Casa di Carità Arte e Mestieri, Sistemi Formativi Confindustria and Learning Digital.
Discovering the secrets of Italian and French cusines

Imagine an innovative learning path allowing VET students and apprentices to discover the secrets of Italian and French cuisines. This is IMPACT, the new Alcotra project of APRO Formazione and Faculté des Métiers – École Hôtelière of Cannes. Attending a binational learning path designed for both Italian and French future cooks. 
You Can Change Your World

The project You Can Change Your World – YCCYW, nº 2017-1-PT01-KA116-035506 was born in the framework of our European Club activities due to our need to strengthen our combat against early school leaving, school failure and demotivation, to improve language and technological skills of our trainees, trainers, teachers and technical staff.
E-commerce project: PEAL
Tradium (Denmark)

The PEAL project was born in the Spring 2016. It came from an idea, that Tradium Business Department (EfVET Member) as a school needed to get up to speed concerning e-commerce. We realized, that the web shops around the country needed skilled employees, who understood all the differences between physical shops and web shops.
EURspace a project to facilitate transparency in VET

One of the most difficult aspects when you manage mobility projects is to be sure of what results it will bring for your students. What they will learn? What competences will be developed? In which extent? How will their competences be assessed? And recognised?
International Young Bakers Competition
ISMEK (Turkey)

ISMEK won the “Best New Country” award at the International Young Bakers Competition in 2018, which was held in Spain with the cooperation of the International Bakers and Pasteur Association with the Valencia Bakery Association.
New Professional Development Package
 
In partnership with Edinburgh College, The Placement Factory is now offering professional development opportunities specifically designed for vocational teaching staff. This unique programme allows participants to observe Vocational Education in practise in Scotland, carry out industry visits while also receiving English language tuition.
 
Tracking VET graduates

The EU-funded project “Advancing Graduate Tracking and Alumni Relations in VET Schools – TRACKTION” focuses on strengthening the capacity of graduate tracking and fostering alumni relations in VET institutions.
