EfVET Thematic Teams: get involve!

In order to increase benefits for EfVET members, providing relevant services and added value for you and your organization, we intend to establish EfVET Thematic Teams. We wish to launch EfVET Thematic Teams, to cluster EfVET members around key sectors or thematic areas. Therefore, we would like to ask your contribution on this by replying to this short online survey.
Through this survey, we aim at hearing your views on this proposal and providing you the opportunity to express your willingness to join EfVET Thematic Teams.
EfVET Thematic Teams aim at:
- Establishing "think tanks", a point of reference for VET in a specific field
- Aggregating members’ expertise in a specific field
- Promoting innovation and business opportunities among members

Expected benefits:
- Opening up a (sectoral) communication channel between EfVET and its members
- Attracting new members, via the added value (sectoral content + sectoral networking)

European Education Area
The European Commission has launched additional package to advance the European Education Area, including important proposals for VET such as: the development of Vocational education & training centres of excellence and a plan for a European Student Card which is designed to boost learning mobility by reducing administrative burdens and costs for students and education and training institutions. MFF: Double funding for Erasmus

ICARO: soft-skills for adult learners
The ‘Innovative Curriculum on Soft-Skills for Adult Learners’ (ICARO) second project meeting took place in Dublin, hosted by the partner organisation Dublin City University. This project aims to develop a customised training path adapted to the needs of each participant in order to get their (re)integration in labour market.

DC4Work
Involving five partners from Germany, Austria, Portugal, Belgium and Finland, the project has as main beneficiaries staff and professionals (e.g. trainers, consultants, tutors, among others) of Small and Medium Enterprises from the sectors of tourism and commerce/trade. Overall, all professionals that may act as multipliers and promoters of Digital Competences in SMEs are potential beneficiaries of the project

More than 200 VET students gather
The intercultural training organized by Asociación Mundus brings together students from Catalonia and Aragon, trainers from all over the country and hosting organisations from eight European countries, as well as Erasmus coordinators from different VET schools.

In the scope of the activities developed by its European Club since January 2017, Esprominho-Escola Profissional do Minho is participating in a European project: “DEVELOPMENT OF SECTORAL QUALIFICATION DESCRIPTORS FOR EQF LEVEL 5”, No. 2016-1-LT01-KA202-023178, Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training in order to prepare internationally comparable qualification descriptors (proficiency and competency profiles for professional practice and accessible professions) at the level 5 of the EQF to promote better quality education and training and to better match the market needs.
