Director's Journal - Production Days 14 - 16

Over the years, I've often thought about how a film production resembles a long-distance race. Our 12-hour shooting days here in Sarajevo require substantial stamina and focus, and as a director, I find myself leaning constantly on God’s strength and creativity.

For the last two days, we have been filming in an abandoned hospital. Our production designer, Vedran Hrustanovic, and his crew have done an amazing job renovating the place. During the filming of these scenes, in which our lead character heals from a failed suicide attempt, I am reminded of how we all need forgiveness and restoration. Praise God for his healing hands and unconditional love! How I pray that this film will draw every damaged heart to the love of Christ.

We are two-thirds of the way to the finish line!  5 production days left!

Love from Sarajevo!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:1-2a)
