Dear Supporters,

I hope you all had a lovely ending to 2013 and 2014 has started as well as you had hoped. Today is a special day for The Liam Charity as IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY!!! Two years ago to this date I made a life changing phone call to the NSPCC and signed up to the Virgin Active London Triathlon. The support which has followed has been amazing and I am extremely humbled by all who have contributed to the achievement in Liam's memory thus far. Throughout these two years I have met some inspirational people and gained so many companions, creating some lifelong memories along the way and am looking forward too the prospects of making even more in 2014.
Thanks for having us
Myself and Emily (TLC Young Ambassador) saw out the year by helping the NSPCC's Sutton Volunteer branch with their Christmas collection.

Just over £570.00 was raise on the evening which was split between the NSPCC and other local charities. Joined by Santa himself who brought smiles and excitement to many local children, it truly showed the magic of Christmas is still alive.

This was one of many events they do throughout the year please visit their site for more details:
Congratulations to Ricky Boylan
A huge congratulations to TLC Ambassador Ricky Boylan on winning the Southern Area Title last month in a 4th round stoppage. Ricky was sporting his Liam Charity wrist band on the night which exemplifies his support and dedication to the cause.

Just prior to his fight he invited me and Emily up to i-Box Gym where he trained just to see all the ground work

His impressive display has earned him a place with Eddie Hearns Matchroom Boxing

The Liam Charity returns to Carshalton Athletic FC on 17th May for the third annual Special One Cup, as AFC Liam and Homies United return to battle for the trophy for a third time. Players include several of Liam's relatives, as well as friends of the Hearne family and former pupils of Liam's school. After Homies edged the 2012 clash, AFC Liam returned to level the series with a thumping 6-1 victory, to set up an intriguing decider.

The highlight of the charity's calendar since 2012, this year's event promises to be bigger and better then ever. As well as the entertainment on the pitch, The Special One Cup offers something for everyone, with live pre-match and half-time entertainment, special guest appearances and a post-match disco sure to provide a jam-packed afternoon of fun for all the family.

I would like to give my extended gratitude to Sutton BNI who have been a continuous support from the early stages of my fundraising who invited me to their Special Charity Chapter along with so many other local charities. It was one of the most inspiring meetings I have been to in my short time fundraising in memory of Liam. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Hussein Ghor from Printwell and Stuart Wisby who will be taking on their own personal challenges, climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and the Tough Mudda, respectively in aid of The Liam Charity both taking place next month.
