Dear Supporter,

So the time has finally arrived, Me and Michael will be running the Virgin London Marathon this weekend. Throughout the last few months we have been training hard in preparation for this iconic race but during this time managed to fit in the 5 Aaron Vs Mike challenges. Starting with the beastly Man Vs Food, we took on the painful task (for those who had to listen) of a Sing Off, the joys of Crazy Golf, the soon to be prime-time quiz show known as Quiz In The Kitchen, rounding our journey off by showcasing our newly found 'athletic ability in a Sports Day - All our challenges are on The Liam Charity Website if you wish to relive the highs and lows of our adventure (Link Below). This was not in vain, as the winner had the chance to take first pick of our Marathon outfits which was decided by a poll on our social networking sites. Unlucky for Mike I was victorious in a nail-biting finish to the last race.
TO RELIVE THE AARON VS MIKE CHALLENGES
The original outfits chosen were Super Mario & Princess Peach but as you can see from the picture, mainly due to a wardrobe malfunction, we had to change Mikes outfit to the next best thing; Toad. Look out for us on the day we haven't written off winning just yet, stranger things have happened but the most important thing is to reach our fundraising target which £4,000; as always any contribution towards this will be much appreciated by us both as well as the NSPCC/ChildLine.

This year see's extra performances from The Irish Trio as well as X-Plosion (Street Dance) who will join Destiny's Stage school to provide pre match and half time entertainment. There will also be more things going on in and around the ground for everyone to enjoy, including a few few surprises in store which we are going to keep under wraps until the big day. This is a day for all the family, so I hope to see you there, admission to the event will remain at £5 an Adult, £3 a Child from 12-16 and those under 12 are completely free; fully details will be on our websites event page shortly. www.TheLiamCharity.org,uk as well as on our social media pages leading up to the big day.

A FEW THANK YOUS TO OTHERS FOR THEIR EFFORTS AND SUPPORT
HUSSEINS (PRINTWELL) KILIMANJARO TREK:

The first sponsored event of the year took place in February, as supporter and friend of The Liam Charity, Hussein Ghor, took on one of planet Earth's most famous endurance challenges, by scaling Mount Kilamanjaro. Hussein, owner of Printwell UK Ltd, who support The Liam Charity as their Charity of the Year, spent seven days ascending to heights in excess of 9,300ft, to conquer Africa's highest mountain, raising an incredible £2,105 for The Liam Charity.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Hussein for his fantastic effort and continuous support.
WALLINGTON COUNTY GRAMMAR SCHOOLS FASHION AND TALENT SHOW:

Pupils of Wallington County Grammar School came together once again in support of The Liam Charity. Having previously contributing to a huge amount through Mufti Days and wristband sales, this time they took to the stage to entertain their peers by performing in a Talent Show, as well as heading for the catwalk as part of a Fashion Show.

Their efforts raised a fantastic £992.61 for The Liam Charity taking the schools own contribution to the fund to over £3,000. A huge thank you to the sixth formers who organised the event as well as all the students and staff at the School for their continued efforts to support the cause.
THE LIAM CHARITY GO GREEN COMEDY NIGHT:

The Liam Charity's first official event of 2014 took place on 15th February once again at the ever supportive Carshalton Athletic in support of the NSPCCs Go Green campaign. Acts and audience alike were invited to don the charities signature colour for an event of entertainment, which included on of the Aaron Vs Mike Challenges.

Spearheaded by local funnyman Gary Hillock and his array of comedian friends including the return of long term supporter Daniel Clarke, still thriving from his success from 2013. The event raised just under £350 on the night.
THE LIAM CHARITY MEETS 13INTHIRETEEN (AKA RICHARD HAYES):

March 8th is a date which will live long in the memory for me, a day where I met long term supporter and fellow fundraiser Richard Hayes. It's no secret that Richard used ChildLine in his youth and in his own words owes his life to the very service The Liam Charity helps support. ChildLine was there for him through the hardship he endured as a youngster and helped him to come out the other side stronger than ever.

It was  an absolute pleasure to meet such a humble and inspiring man with a equally amazing family. Richards fundraising Website:

Liam's fund is very much on target to reach £40,000 by the end of May which in tern would have enabled to the NSPCCs ChildLine service to answer an additional 10,000 calls. It is a feat which I am very proud of and extremely grateful to everyone who has, and continues to support my fundraising efforts in memory of Liam.

With Thanks,

Aaron Hearne
Founder of The Liam Charity
