Button Farm Opens Again

Button Farm is set on 40-pristine acres inside Seneca Creek State Park, and is Maryland's only hands-on history center depicting 19th century slave plantation life and the inspirational story of the Underground Railroad. Our site features a Civil War-era Barn, Historic Outbuildings, Livestock Pens, Museum Garden, Slave Cemetery and is home to the Underground Railroad Immersion Experience.

We are honored to serve the public as an essential community resource and will reopen this month, on a reservation only schedule, for public programs, recreation, outdoor classrooms and more. Check out our website for our Covid-19 protocols and more.
