Our event is still on! Looks like the day will be partly sunny and dry. In the evening possible stray shower after dark, so the Blair Witch Project film will be shown in our sheltered pavilion! Check our Events Page at www.buttonfarm.org for weather updates.

Parents! Don't worry about your kids getting spooked. The family festival is ALL FUN and NO FRIGHT!

We will have crafts, games and animals to keep the kids happy and hectic. Food, drink and a bonfire to keep them happy and warm. Circle the farm in our old time hayride for our story time adventure! 2 hours of fall fun and Halloween hoopla for both kids and the young at heart!

Twenty years ago, two young filmmakers made cinema history. “The Blair Witch Project” was a worldwide sensation, and is still one of the most profitable movies in Hollywood history. Join Ranger Ledbetter to learn how this horror classic came to be filmed here in Maryland at Seneca Creek State Park and visit actual shooting locations from the film. Tour begins and ends at Button Farm Living History Center. $2/person suggested donation to Friends of Seneca  Creek State Park. Join us for a 20th anniversary screening of the Blair Witch Project, following the ranger-led Blair Witch walking tour from 3-5pm. Filmed in Seneca Creek State Park, and in the woods surrounding Button Farm. See if you can spot familiar sites and locations both real and fictionalized. The film will be projected on the side of our barn. Dress warmly. Food and Drink will be on hand!

Halloween Festival Volunteers Needed

The Button Farm Living History Center will be hosting our inaugural Halloween Festival, on October 26 from 2:00pm- 10:00pm. We are looking for volunteers to help with both day and evening activities. Shifts will begin at 12-noon, run throughout the day, and finish at 10:30pm. See shift times and descriptions below. Sign up for one or more, and stay as long as you are able to. FREE REFRESHMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Youth and adults, age 16 and older, (or under 16 accompanied by a guardian) may sign up for this event. SSL HOURS will be provided to all volunteers. Please contact Cara Light at caly.light@gmail.com if you are able to help. Thank you for your continued support.
