With the confirmation of Xavier Becerra as California’s new Attorney General, we have an opportunity to re-introduce our state’s top law enforcement agency to the problems in our state’s nursing homes. For over ten years, the AG’s office has largely forsaken nursing home residents - contributing to a weak enforcement system that leads to poor care, broken promises, and victimized residents.
