The 2nd Annual Race4Chase Kids' Triathlon Race will take place at Great Hollow Lake, Wolfe Park in Monroe CT on Sunday, July 12th, 2015. We expect as many as 300 participants this year after the success of the 2014 race. CMAK will again award a bicycle to one entrant at the awards ceremony. CMAK is grateful to all of our sponsors who have again made an extra effort in supporting this event so it can be of the highest quality. Thank you to TIMEX for providing awards, Blue 70 for swim caps, USA Triathlon for knapsack goodie bags and many other local sponsors providing food and hydration for our athletes. Race4Chase Kid's Triathlon Program Update
The application and selection process is now complete and the eight Connecticut Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Programs are ready to commence their training schedule on June 22nd, 2015. We are all excited to see the progress that these athletes will make as they set their sights on completing the "FINALE" USA Triathlon sanctioned kids triathlon, on Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, CT
In South Carolina, the Race4Chase programs are starting their selection process with the training program opening on July 6th and culminating with the Fort Mill "Finale" about August 15th, 2015. More details to follow.
The 2015 Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Programs have been supported by grants from USA Triathlon Foundation and Dick's Sporting Goods Sports Matter Program. This is in addition to the assistance provided by TIMEX Group USA (Awards, Timing, Elite Athletes), Blue Seventy (swim caps, goggles) and Zane Cycles (helmets) which is vital to the success of the program.
CMAK Rockin' Jump
Thank you to all those who joined CMAK at the 2nd Rockin' Jump event. We would like to give a special thanks to New Balance of Bethel and Sandy Hook Cycle
for joining us there. New Balance
provided shoe sizing and collected donations of lightly used sneakers while Sandy Hook Cycles
provided a new FELT road bicycle which is being raffled off by the Foundation.
Tickets will be sold for the bicycle (pictured beow) at all CMAK upcoming events including at the Monroe Farmer's Market on Friday, June 26th and the Race4Chase Kid's Triathlon at Wolfe Park on Sunday, July 12th where the winner will be selected. The winner does not need to be present.
And, of course, a big thank you to all those at Rockin' Jump
who again provided at great venue for our supporters to enjoy an evening of bouncing fun!

The Yale Triathlon Team, supporters of CMAK and wearing Race4Chase logo on their kits, competed at the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships in Clemson, South Carolina.

Baton #1 - (Red)

completed both the Cowtown in Fort Worth Texas and the OKC Memorial in Oklahoma City, OKL in the month of March carrying the Race4Chase baton. The baton is now transferred to Heidi Langan
who will take it to England to compete in a race on her home soil. Heidi will be leading the Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Program in Trumbull for the second straight year and will be headed to England after the "FINALE" on August 1st.

Baton # 4- (Green)
Congratulations to Melissa Whipple
who completed the Sky Tri Kids Triathlon in Ann Arbor MI on May 17th with the baton, capturing 2nd place in her age group. She has passed the baton to her step mother, Olivia Whipple
, who is taking the baton to Arizona. We await news on which competition that Olivia will choose to compete with the baton.
Baton #5 - (Blue)
returns from a successful mission in the rescue effort in Nepal, pictured bringing some Chase vitality to the children of Nepal wearing Race4Chase bracelets. Donna will determine to whom she will pass the baton in the near future.
Baton #9 (Purple) -
continues to hold the baton in Hilliard, Ohio awaiting his first triathlon competition for this season. We await to hear where he chooses.
Baton #10 (Gold) -
David Brown III
(left) competed in the Capital Hill Classic10k in Washington DC on May 17th, 2015 where he passed the baton to fellow DC Police Officer, Sean Ellman
. Sean will advise where he will compete shortly.
Baton # 14-
Erin Flanagan has chosen to pass the baton from the Dewey Beach Marathon in Delaware to Frances Hoare from Birr, Co Offaly, Ireland. Frances, a fellow intern of Generation UCAN, will run with the baton in the Colour Run 5k in aid of the Irish Cancer Society in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland on July 11th.
