Politically, It's been a slow day in January in South Dakota, but the stage is being set for an important hearing for the Keystone XL Pipeline this next week, and preparations are moving forward for next Saturday's Inauguration of State Elected officials in Pierre.

Dakota War College will be in Pierre this historic next weekend, where for the first time in 50 years, all statewide elected officials will be Republicans. And, we will bring you "on the ground" coverage of some of the day's proceedings.

US Attorney Brendan Johnson interjects office into satellite voting center dispute

Next PUC hearing on Keystone XL coming this week. We still need a remedy for the problems caused by the fed’s war on energy.

From Bob Mercer, the PUC faces a Keystone XL procedural hearing on Tuesday where opponents continue to try to throw a wrench into what should be a minor hurdle in recertification. State law calls for a project’s sponsor to seek certification from the commission if the project hasn’t commenced within four years of the permit.
