Hello <<First Name>>
Update regarding the proposed Residents Parking Scheme (RPS) plans for Clifton Village
BID Clifton Village
BID Clifton Village has undertaken extensive consultation with representatives of Bristol City Council and have made written representations following the survey and meetings we have held with BID Businesses.
BID Clifton Village is committed to obtaining the very best solution for the businesses and traders of Clifton; to preserve the special atmosphere of this unique and vibrant village which, with the current proposed RPS plans is in danger of being lost.
Please refer to the RPS page on the BID Clifton Village website for further updates.
Bristol City Council
The informal consultation period ended on the 4th of October and BID CV are informed that Bristol City Council received over 600 comments from businesses and residents within the Clifton Village area. Bristol City Council advise us that feedback from the informal consultation will be published on their web site during November 2013 however, due to the number of comments they have received this timescale may be delayed.
Having considered all the comments received Bristol City Council will issue their revised proposals which be the start of the' Formal Consultation Period' this is likely to commence in January 2014, a decision on the final scheme is scheduled for February 2014 with the scheme implementation programmed for June/ July 2014.
In addition to the above BID CV has advised businesses within the Clifton Village area to make their own representations regarding the Residents Parking Scheme (RPS) Proposals and you will also be interested to know that several such groups are forming to contest specific areas of the scheme. There is a leaflet currently being circulated with details of a public meeting and suggesting some proposals (click to view on the BID website)
