Get a quick at-home workout with Alexa!

Just say "Alexa, open 7-minute workout!"

A quick at-home workout will leave you feeling good, and, according to the CDC, exercising regularly is one of the best ways to relieve the coronavirus-fueled stress we're all feeling right now.

I highly recommend Alexa's 7-minute workout skill (and I'm not alone, as the skill has 4,000+ reviews and 4.5 stars!) for a bunch of reasons...

  1. Beginner friendly - The workouts center around familiar & easy activities like jumping jacks and stepping up onto a chair
  2. Something for everyone - When you first open the skill, you'll choose between low-impact, standard and advanced workouts
  3. Go at your pace - Alexa asks if you're ready before moving to the next activity. Say "no" if you need a quick break
  4. See helpful images of different activities - If you have an Echo Show, you'll get this bonus feature

Pro Tip: If you want to work out in a room where you don't have an Echo speaker, just open the skill via the Alexa app on your phone. Open the app > tap the "Alexa" icon in the middle of the bottom navigation bar and say "open 7-minute workout!"

Looking for other ways to stay healthy during your quarantine?

Check out the My Better Nutrition Alexa skill from dietician Ashley Koff for tips on easy, nutritious snacks and meals. This is a high quality Alexa skill, and I've found the recommendations to be helpful and sensible.

Just say "Alexa, open My Better Nutrition" for a daily nutrition tip, a pep talk or to ask a question like "What breakfast will give me more energy?"

Today's tip? When you eat while you do something else (like driving or household chores), your body doesn't do as good a job at digesting, which can leave you feeling icky and bloated. Good to know!

Check out the brand new Echo Frames!

Echo Frames are eyeglasses with Alexa built in. Like the Echo Buds, they give you Alexa on the go -- but since the Frames are meant to be worn all day, they truly give you "Alexa everywhere" all the time.

Tap/click here to check out Android Central's super helpful and thorough review of the Echo Frames, which really gives you a sense for what they're like.

Pro Tip: Echo Frames are currently only available by invitation, but if you're interested in trying out a pair you can tap/click here to request an invitation!
