Get some good news for a change

Just say "Alexa, what's some good news?"

You'll tee up the latest episode of Some Good News ("SGN") with comedy actor John Krasinski. SGN started up about 6 weeks ago to bring the world some good news in the midst of all the bad news we get every day.

Each show has a good dose of humor, heartwarming true stories and amazing celebrity appearances -- episode 6's "virtual graduation" for the class of 2020 delighted a few lucky graduates with surprise Zoom calls from Oprah, Steven Spielberg, Malala and Jon Stewart. It was awesome.

My favorite SGN story starred an 88-year-old man from Watertown, MA so determined to visit his wife in a nursing home closed to visitors that he hired a boom lift to raise him up to her 3rd floor window so they could see each other. Samuel L. Jackson also made a cameo in the episode, shouting hilarious compliments at passers-by, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Pro Tip: If you have an Echo Show, you can watch the latest SGN episode, but it's also great just to listen on a regular Echo or Dot.

Do this when you need a break from work this afternoon:

At some point in the next few hours, you're inevitably going to need a break.

Instead of flipping through your usual news websites, skip the coronavirus play-by-play and get some good news. Just say "Alexa, what's some good news?" I promise you will be happy that you did!

And don't miss this either! If you haven't seen the infamous episode where Krasinski got the original cast of Hamilton to serenade a little girl named Aubrey with her favorite song, tap/click here and fast forward 8 min and 30 sec into the episode to watch! You're in for a real treat :)
