The Mighty Wurlitzer's 90th Birthday Bash

Fri 5 Jul, 8—11pm at Kingston City Hall, 979-985 Nepean Hwy, Moorabbin

To celebrate the 90th birthday of Kingston's mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ, Kingston Arts invites you to join us for a swinging night of Wurlitzer-infused jazz with the ever-popular, New Orleans-inspired Shirazz accompanied by City Organist & Wurlitzer guardian Scott Harrison.

Playing the hottest trad jazz this side of New Orleans, Shirazz is one of Melbourne's most sought-after jazz bands. They meld raucous, high-energy trad, laid-back Louisiana street beats, and sleazy and salacious blues in their witty and irreverent live show. They've teamed up with Scott on memorable occasions in the past, and this promises to be an exceptional night for lovers of fine music.

Enjoy the cabaret-style setting, with plenty of room for dancing, by booking your seats - or a whole table - soon. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes! But even if you're not in the mood for dancing, you can just sit back and let the extraordinary sounds of the mighty Wurlitzer with Shirazz wash over you in the distinctive surrounds of the iconic Grand Hall at Kingston City Hall.
