Community delivers 21 new Living Wage Employers for 2014-15

Congratulations are in order to all the communities that created the Living Wage Movement.  It is these faith, community and union groups that created the pressure for a Living Wage.  Today it is Tommy and James Nice Blocks that takes the cake - all the way to O'Sarracino for the celebration of the new Living Wage Employers.  The Nice Block's cake will be cut and it will be ice cream all round to celebrate!

Also receiving a certificate as inaugural Living Wage Employers will be Oxfam, Vaka Tautua, TONZU, miGuard Security, Tomato Café, NZCTU, SFWU, NZEI, PSA, Auckland Women's Centre, Young Workers Resource Centre, Friendship House Trust, EcoMatters Environment Trust, FIRST Union, Greenpeace NZ, Methodist City Action, Opticmix Ltd, O'Sarracino, TEU, Waitakere Union Health Centre.

Do you know ethical employers that may want to become accredited?  For more information go to www.livingwage.org.nz

Look out for the sign of the Living Wage Employer.  Buy the product, support the business! This trade mark is available to any Employer who signs a licence confirming they pay a Living Wage to directly and indirectly employed workers.  Check out our website for more information www.livingwage.org.nz.  Living Wage Employers are all identified on our website.

Look out for these community events where our community leaders will be advocating for a Living Wage.
