Lesson 1070: Foreshadows, Pt.2
In Daniel, the fiery furnace was made 7 times hotter. Jesus described the Great Tribulation as the worst time in history. Revelation chapters 6 – 18
Matt.24:21 HCSB at that time there will be great tribulation, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again!
Daniel was away at the time of the furnace, he would have certainly stood with his friends.
Daniel is not even mentioned in chapter 3 – the 3 friends were on their own. The furnace represents the Tribulation; Daniel represents the raptured church.
Chapter 3 is the first of 4 chapters that describe detailed experiences of individuals.
Chapter 3 is important background for Chapter 4 – Nebuchadnezzar’s conversion.
First, the king had to learn that all power is given and taken according to God’s will.
