Lesson 1029: Daniel 2:40-45, Pt.2
Human governments divide: the 1st Empire was 1 unit, the 2nd Empire had 2 nations.
The 3rd Empire became 4 nations, and the 4th Empire will become 10 nations.
Christ’s Millennial kingdom will unite the earth in peace, under one King, forever.
God controls the kings of the earth as pawns in His “math puzzle”:
1st Empire: The Babylonian Empire (605-539 BC) lasted 70 years.
2nd Empire: The Medo-Persia Empire (539-331 BC) lasted 200 years.
3rd Empire: The Grecian Empire (331-63 BC) lasted 270 years.
4th Empire: The Roman Empire (63 BC-476 AD) lasted 540 years
The 3rd empire lasted just as long as the previous 2.
The 4th empire lasted just as long as the previous 3.
The 4th empire was half the total time; legs are half the length of the statue.
God not only determined the length of the 1st empire – He did this for every empire.
