Lesson 94: Our Priest Cannot Fail
Heb.4:15-16 we have a high priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses, who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Remember that the One who promised to help us is faithful. He can’t lie; His plans can’t fail.
Job 42:1-2 Job answered the Lord and said: "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted."
Psa.115:3 Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.
Isa.14:27 NASB For the Lord of hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?
Dan.4:35 he does according to his will… none can stay his hand
1 Pet.4:12, 19 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 19 Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.
Focus your faith especially on the cross: Christ’s death, His blood, the Lamb of God. The death of sin comes through the death of Christ.
He died to destroy the flesh. No matter what daily temptations you face, Christ died to destroy each & every one.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
