Daniel: Trusting God
03/14/2017, by John Kincaid
Lesson 1079: Wisdom: Human vs. God’s, Pt.1
Wisdom is not knowledge that we learn to harness ourselves. Wisdom is a Person.
1 Cor.1:24 Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Cor.1:25-27 the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength... when you were called, not many of you were wise by human standards... But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise
1 Cor.2:11-14 Only the Spirit of God is able to understand and teach us God's wisdom.
Human wisdom is the philosophy of the unsaved world, which rejects Christ.
2 Cor.4:7 We have this treasure (the Gospel) in jars of clay (our fragile bodies. Why?) to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
Jer.9:23-24 Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom... but let him who boasts boast in this,
that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord
