Lesson 66: The Full Revelation of God
There is an even tougher challenge for the flesh: God's people today under the new covenant. Christians today have the complete Bible, the full written revelation of God. David didn't have the New Testament, or Isaiah or Jeremiah or Daniel.
Christians today have seen the full revelation of God in Christ; they live on this side of the cross.
Christians today have been warned by God Heb.2:1 and tasted the fountain of grace. Col.3:3; Gal.2:20
Jesus gave them the ministry of the Word, designed to bring them to perfection.
Eph.4:11-15 Jesus gave… to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
