Daniel: Trusting God

Lesson 1067: God is Sovereign; Satan is Doomed
The contrast between the God of Israel and pagan idols is significant and symbolic.
The god of this world (responsible for Gentile domination over Israel) is doomed.
Satan's judgment, at the end of the times of the Gentiles, is certain; God is sovereign. The downfall of empires (Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome) foreshadows this.
The Gentile times will include persecution, but preservation & deliverance for Israel.
God will not give us more than we can bear if we rely on Him. 1 Cor.10:13 Believers can stay true to God, even during severe trial - compromise is not required.
We cannot know whether we will avoid great trial, or be carried through it, or die. But we have God's Word that we will not be tested beyond our endurance.
