Lesson 1098: Wisdom: Human vs. God’s, Pt.20
God does not give us wisdom for the purpose of inflating our brains.
1 Cor.8:1 knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
God's desire is that our wisdom, faith and love would lead to action, producing good works.
James 2:17 faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
1 John 3:18 let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
Eph.2:10 we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Col.1:9-10 we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Pharaoh and all his top advisors recognized that Joseph already had the best plan of action.
Pharaoh even realized why Joseph was so discerning and wise: the Spirit of God was in him. Gen.41:37-38
1300 years later, Daniel was chosen as the 3rd highest ruler in Babylon for the same reason.
