Hello, February.
And hello, wonderful newsletter peeps! If you missed last month's newsletter or are new to my mailing list (welcome!), I've decided to change things up a bit:
This year, I'm using this monthly note to share some of my favorite resources, internet finds, productivity tools, life tips, entertainment, + more; it's your curated monthly roundup of all things that I'm loving and/or that have improved my life in some way.
So, here's what's been on my mind since I last wrote you:
Must-Read Article: Joint Hypermobility Syndrome: Yoga's Enigmatic Epidemic? When I read this, I was floored. I have almost every single one of these symptoms and I feel like this article explains a lot of my bizarre medical ailments. I believe a lot of my students also suffer from this syndrome; it's a must-read for flexible yogis and yoga teachers alike.
Must-Watch Video: The Time You Have Left in Jellybeans really puts things into perspective. {Also, is it bad that after watching this, I found myself craving jelly beans?}
Life Hack of the Month: The Duvet Cover Roll! I saw this going around on Facebook and didn't watch it because I thought it was lame and I was skeptical. Then a few days later, I had to put a duvet cover back on a comforter (go figure!), so I decided to give it a try. Despite the fact that I still don't know how it works, it really does work! Pretty amazing.
Who I'm Following: Celeste Barber on Instagram. She's a comedian who satirizes celebrity instagrams by making her own versions of some of their ridiculous pics. Makes me laugh every time ;)
What I'm Reading: Lenny, a weekly newsletter on feminism, style, health, politics, friendship, and everything else from Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.
What I'm Listening To: Oh Wonder (as of two days ago). Another recommendation from my East Village-dwelling, finger-on-the-pulse-of-all-things-new-and-cool brother. They're *SO* good!
New Life Goal: Give a baby sloth a bath on bath day. I mean, I can't even.
And with that, here's what's coming up in my world {+ a few things you may have missed on Starr Struck last month!}...
