Marist Mission Ranong

10 years of Compassion

Yes, we've celebrated 10 years of service among Burmese Migrants on the Thai Burma Border.

We know most of you couldn't be with us, but we'd like to share our 2 days of celebration with you.

With one click you can experience the stories, photosvideos and the joy and confidence that education brings to the lives of our Burmese Migrant Children.

Your support is turning compassion into action on the Thai Burma Border with Burmese Migrant families.

Thanks again to all our friends and supporters. Without your help we would simply collapse!

From the Marist Team

We are about to finish the year

Here in South Asia, the hottest part of the year is March, April and May.

School finishes in a few weeks and we get ready to celebrate the 'Water Festival'. Everyone throws water at everyone to 'cool off' and cleanse ourselves from the past year so we are ready to enter the new year.

It is happy and sad as we farewell preschool students, secondary students and welcome new students and begin new programmes.

Recently we received a donation from a Charitable Trust in New Zealand that allowed us to buy a new school truck for our children.

We were so grateful as our 10 year old school truck broke down after the Christmas Holidays. Our children were so excited and thankful.

They all clapped when it was explained many people overseas care for them and support them to have a good education.

Thanks to everyone of you. Cheers and prayers from Ranong, Thailand.
