Welcome to Titan – The Future of Simulation

The public pre-release of Titan has arrived and the nature of simulation is now forever changed. In this newsletter we will provide an overview of Titan Vanguard CX and advise how you can get a demonstration and be part of our Early Access Program.

Exclusively built on the Outerra simulation engine, Titan Integrated Military (Titan IM) and Calytrix Technologies have joined forces to release Titan Vanguard CX: a new ‘whole of world’ simulation environment that:

  • Delivers the entire globe with pre-built natural terrain and global roads;
  • Supports space, air, land, sea and sub-surface applications in the one seamless system;
  • Is facilitating a collapse of virtual and constructive concepts into one platform;
  • Provides an out-of-the box first person training environment;
  • Delivers an open development platform that supports modern programming methodologies; and
  • ... is the future of simulation.

Titan is truly different and it will change the way everyone looks and thinks about simulation for future generations.

Titan will be extensively showcased at I/ITSEC 2015 and Calytrix is offering groups the opportunity to be part of our Early Access Program (EAP).

Looking forward to seeing everyone at IITSEC in Orlando, Florida between Nov 30th and Dec 3rd 2015.

Early Access Program (EAP)

The demand for Titan is already high but as a new product we need to carefully manage the release to ensure we meet everyone’s expectations - especially our own. However, we can’t do this alone.  We are now inviting qualified partners to join our Early Access Program (EAP) and be among the first to access and understand Titan. In addition, early adopters will enjoy significant product discounts along with access and influence on Titan’s developmental roadmap.

We only have a limited number of slots available for this exclusive program. As a partner in our EAP you will receive:

  • A ten (10) seat permanent license key of Titan Vanguard CX
  • One year’s support & updates.

Two days of dedicated hands-on Titan training:
  • Europe, TBA – March 7th 2016
  • USA, Orlando – March 21st 2016

A Voice:

  • Priority support access
  • Influence into the items and prioritisation of our development roadmap
  • Foundation member status of the Titan User Group
Book Now
The cost to join the EAP is USD$35,000, which is a significant discount on the regular cost of the licenses, and the included training is essential (licenses will be provided at the end of the course).  Positions are already selling so if you are interested please see Calytrix at IITSEC (booth 2459) or contact us at

News on Titan

2015 has been a busy year for everyone at Titan IM. Here are a few of the highlights:

Delivering JTAC Training:

Titan IM, in partnership with Rockwell Collins and Virtual Simulation Systems, is pleased to announce that its Titan-based JTAC training system is now in service with the Australian Defence Force. The modular simulator is available in both a full dome solution and a desktop variant.

Austria Selects Titan:

The Austrian Army, a leader in LVC training within Europe, has become the first military to field Titan as a replacement to their legacy infantry training system during exercises in November 2015. Please come and join Austria as a member of our EAP in Europe.

Titian CX available to EAP:

Built on the latest release of Titan, Calytrix and Titan IM announce the availability of Titan Vanguard CX, our fully featured training offering. In addition to all the core features of Titan Vanguard, the Titan Vanguard CX edition delivers a fully integrated voice & radio communications solution, DIS/HLA & C2 support, additional scenario-based terrain management facilities and more. Titan Vanguard CX will continue to evolve and grow to meet the future needs of our customers.

Titan’s 2016 Roadmap:

As Titan enters into the EAP, the first public 24-month roadmap for Titan development is being released to qualified partners. The vison is Global and the goal is to put the world in your hands.

Developer Program:

Out of the box, Titan supports developers with C++ plugin interfaces, a native and fully replaceable HTML5 UI, JavaScript scripting interface and Node.js integration. All APIs are available for free: Titan has an open philosophy and will remain this way. Both Titan IM and Calytrix are seeking expressions of interest to attend the first Titan Developers workshop to be held the week after ITEC 2016. Email to register your interest.

Terrain 2025:

Think big, think global - Titan and the US Army are. The first iteration of the One World Server (OWS) has been completed in support of the National Simulation Centre’s push for a better STE S&T terrain solution via the important research efforts of the University of Southern California’s Institute of Creative Technologies (ICT). OWS is a live interface between Titan and the One World Terrain global database (based on Geoserver/PostgreSQL). Today, OWS can export geo-specific or geo-typical world cities into Titan and will be demonstrated in early 2016 during our Early Access Program. OWS is an open source project so that the entire simulation community can benefit from it.

2015 Who’s Who:

As 2015 draws to a close we thought we would list some of our current customers, as an indicator of the momentum Titan is gaining. So, join the EAP and team up with the likes of the Austrian Army, the Australian Defence Force, Intelligent Decisions, Laser Shot, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, Tucson Embedded Systems, US Army and USSOCOM to name just a few.
