Tim Watson is one of the AFL’s most revered heroes. Renowned for his superb skills and explosive bursts of pace, Tim played 307 games for Essendon and won three premierships. Following his official retirement in 1994, he joined Channel Seven as a member of the AFL commentary team and reading the weekend sports bulletin. Tim returned to the AFL ranks in 1999 as coach of St Kilda – a position he held for two seasons. Upon his return to the media after coaching, Tim co-hosted The Game and in 2002 he joined the Talking Footy team. PRBA July Breakfast Recap
Wednesday 29 July saw the second Premier Regional Business Awards Breakfast for the celebratory 25th year of the awards program take place. Over ninety guests joined us on a very cold Winter morning, which is a fantastic turnout!
The Youth Enterprise Nominee for this event was Emily Whitehead, currently studying a Certificate III in Travel. We then heard two great stories from our highlighted businesses - past winner Horizon Global (Trimas) and a newer business to the region, Sealite.
We were then honoured to have Professor Geoff Brooks (Swinburne University), speak to us about the future of Manufacturing, and how universities and training bodies are helping to create the people that will mold these future movements in manufacturing. This was a very relevant topic for many of our guests in the room and we appreciate Prof. Brooks' time in coming to speak to us.
2015 Premier Regional Business Awards
The remaining breakfast dates for 2015 are:
Wednesday 14 October
Wednesday 25 November
Each of the breakfast events this year will be held at the Sandown Greyhounds and further information about each event will be sent out closer to each date. We look forward to you all joining us for a celebration of the Premier Regional Business Awards!

We see the role of the Chamber as the 'connective tissue' of the business community.
