A few important things to keep in mind as we settle into September

Believe it or not, cold and flu season is already upon us. As a reminder, there is no penalty for short notice cancellation due to illness so long as you let me know at least 2 hrs before your scheduled appointment.

Below is an excerpt from is a great piece my friend Allissa wrote on whether you need to cancel your massage (and why). If you've ever wondered if you should come in or cancel instead, give it a read by clicking below.

When to cancel
If you have nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea in the past 24 hours, or are still feeling punky from a recent bout of such things.

If you’ve had a fever in the past 24 hours, or fever-related symptoms. This includes chills, aches, and fatigue. Even if you’re keeping the fever down with medicine, you’re still sick. The fever counts.

If you are itchy, runny, and/or sneezy, and you’re not 100% certain it’s seasonal allergies. And even then, allergies may leave you so miserable that the hour on my table would be wasted time and money for you.

If you are coughing constantly, or just a lot.

If someone in your household is ill and you are feeling at all funky, please cancel.

There is often some gray area here, especially if you are in the recovery phase of a virus or bacterial infection.  If you’re unsure about your situation, please call me before your appointment and we can make a decision together

It has been SUPER busy at the office lately, which comes as no surprise to anyone who has tried to schedule something within a week during the month of August.

With my schedule staying consistently at or near full, I strongly advise that my monthly & weekly clients begin to book at least two massages at a time to ensure getting their preferred days and times. I still send out the short notice openings email when I have "leftovers", but it is always best to plan ahead. Otherwise, there is no guarantee I will be available when you need me. Don't be afraid to try booking a few months ahead- my confirmation email always includes a link to modify an appointment if that becomes necessary after scheduling. That means you can change it as soon as you realize you need to, even if it's 2am. Easy-peasy. I also have the ability to create standing appointments to make scheduling SUPER convenient... and to guarantee your preferred day/time is available to you pretty much forever.
Lastly, I would also like to remind everyone that my annual Customer Appreciation Sale is always held during the month of October. I recommend that you schedule your October session(s) as soon as possible, as that month tends to fill VERY quickly. I am already roughly 50% booked for the monrh, so don't wait too long to reserve your time!

Keep an eye out for the annual sale announcement coming out in late September!
