January 2019

This year, my plan is to check in a bit more regularly throughout the year. I'm hoping to send a newsletter out every month or two in 2019. You can expect to see information on sales, upcoming changes in the office, ideas for self care between appointments, and other relevant things. This one will be a little long, as I have a bunch to tell you... but moving forward, I'll try to keep it brief.

First things first: A reminder that there is no penalty for rescheduling due to inclement weather. There's no sense white-knuckling it to the office and back when the roads are nasty or temperatures drop well below zero. If schools in Waukesha or Muskego close, my office will also close. Please stay safe! You can call, text or email to let me know you won't be coming in, whatever is easiest for you.

The same goes for being sick or feeling like you're coming down with something, even if it's close to your appointment time. I'd much rather have you reschedule last minute than drag yourself in to the office, as I will just send you home anyhow. Best case, getting a massage while sick will make you feel a whole lot worse afterwards. Worst case, it will make you feel a whole lot worse AND it will infect me (and anyone else you may cross paths with). Stay home, drink lots of fluids, binge some netflix and contact me when you're feeling better to set an appointment up!
Second, I have just switched to a new phone/carrier as it seemed I wasn't always getting calls and messages with the old one. Please email me if you do not receive a reply to any calls, texts, or voicemails within a day or two. I am hopeful the new equipment and service will work flawlessly, but I always worry during times of transition & wanted to let everyone know in case of any issue. My phone number has not changed during the transition, it remains 414-313-1647.
Third, my annual anniversary/customer appreciation sale announcement. I'm sure that many of you noticed that I didn't have my annual sale in October. My schedule was jam-packed for that month by early September AND I was scheduled to be out of the office for about a week, so it didn't seem fair to run a sale when I had only a handful of open spots. Sooooo... I decided to make a couple of changes. I decided to move the date of the sale from the anniversary of starting my own business to the anniversary of moving to this location. The other change is that I have decided to put a coupon in this email valid for appointments occuring in February and March instead of automatically applying the discount to every appointment in October.

With any luck, this will give everyone enough time to get in & give some breathing room to those who may need extra time to get me worked into their own schedule. As in years past, the coupon will be for $10 off any 60-90min service. Just mention this email or show me the coupon to receive the discount! As always, if you were in the month before, you can stack it with my monthly discount for even bigger savings.

Once again, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make my dreams of self employment a reality! I appreciate you so much more than I could ever express. 6 years and counting of livin' the dream! This coming March marks 3 years in my new location. Last August marked 10 years as a massage therapist. Last October marked 6 straight years fully self employed. So many milestones to celebrate, and so many more people to thank for their hand in my ongoing success.

So, in a nutshell...Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon!

$10 off any 60/75/90min session

*Valid February/March 2019. Single use. No cash value.
Lastly, this coming year will be bringing some exciting changes for my little business. The first change for this year was ordering a brand new, ultra upgraded table, complete with a super fancy face cradle. Instead of solid foam, it contains water filled spheres designed to take the most pressure off sinuses. I can't wait to hear what you think of it! Also, I have gotten a couple of new self care tools for the office for people to try out- a basic, inexpensive neck massager as well as a tool to release the muscles at the base of the skull.

I promised amazon links to several people that have tried them out, so here they are:

This one is great for tight, sore muscles along the back and sides of the neck

This is MAGIC for base of the skull pain, migraines, and ultra tight neck muscles

That's all for January! I hope everyone can stay healthy and warm as we move into February.

See you soon!
