Dear partners and innovators,

Did you miss us at the ASU+GSV Summit earlier this month?

You can find links to YouTube recordings from three of our sessions (along with other session materials) on our summit page.

We also invite you to join our webinar on Friday, April 22, at 2:15 p.m. EST. The Lab will share what we learned from the employers, ed tech entrepreneurs, and college administrators who participated in the "Designing the New Skills-Based Economy" workshop we facilitated on April 5 in San Diego. We'll discuss themes ... gaps ... and what's next!

For some background reading: Our recent Skills Visibility paper provides a vision and urgent call to action for how we might reinvent the talent ecosystem from the (l)earner perspective.

Federal funding opportunity

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), recently announced the availability of $226.5 million in American Rescue Plan funding to launch a Community Health Worker Training Program. The department plans to award about 75 grants of up to $3 million each. The deadline to apply is June 14.  As an example, we share this micro-pathway the Lab co-designed with CUNY LaGuardia Community College, which leads to a career as a Community Health Worker.
