Photos from the Swiss Club Presidents' Conference have now been uploaded and can be viewed on our Facebook page. We hope to see a few of our members and friends tomorrow at the always popular Buure Zmorge at the Austrian Club in Frenchs Forest. We will be sending out our next issue of the SCN (No. 223, Christmas Version) in late November. All contributions for the SCN are to be emailed to swisscommnitynews@gmail.com by tonight. Thank you for your cooperation. We are pleased to announce that Alois Smiath has joined the Board of Directors and appointed as Club Secretary. We wish Alois all the best in his new role with the SCNSW and hope you will welcome him to our club too

Children's Samiclaus

Children will meet Samichlaus and Schmutzli in a traditional way similar to how their parents did when they were children. Samichlaus will read a personal message to each child from his Goldenen Buch and every child will receive a small säckli. The SCNSW will organize a BBQ and parents can purchase bratwurst, cervelat and fleischkäse. All children will be given a wienerli and bread roll. Adults are to purchase food and drinks as they go.

When: Saturday, 6 December 2014, 10:00 to 13:00
Cost: Child fees (see below) include entry, sausage, drink and säckli. Adult fees (see below) include entry only. Food and drinks are to be purchased as you go.

SBS The World Game

Earlier this year, Sydney's very own Swiss Folkdance Group 'Alpegruess' performed live on the SBS TV Show, 'The SBS World Game' to celebrate Switzerland's advancement into the Round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Arcadian Artists Demonstrations
Long-time members and supporters of the SCNSW, Ulric Steiner (pictured) and Evelyne Zuercher Hadfield will be displaying their beautiful and unique works of art via the Arcadian Artists 2014. Sydney Theatre Company: Switzerland
The Sydney Theatre Company by special arrangement with Geffen Playhouse, Los Angeles, presents the Co-World Premiere of ‘SWITZERLAND’ by Joanna Murray-Smith. Switzerland is an original thriller inspired by renowned master crime novelist Patricia Highsmith by Australian playwright Joanna Murray-Smith. It kicks off with a knock at the door and spirals into a calculated contest of wits and words.
