Seniors Coach 2021
Brendan Howard

Brendan Howard joined Beaufort from North City 6 seasons ago. Brendan, (Brenna) soon became one of the elite backmen in the Central Highlands Football League, rarely getting beaten. Brenna was a key part of the drought breaking 2018 Premiership having played in many finals since joining the Crows. He was named in the Central Highlands 2019 Team of the Year. Mid way through the 2019 season Brendan was announced a joint senior coach for season 2020 and beyond, teaming up with his partner in crime, fellow backman and former North City Teammate Mitch Jenkins. Brendan is married to Jo and has 2 young children.

Seniors Coach 2021
Mitch Jenkins

Mitch Jenkins joined Beaufort from North City 6 seasons ago. Mitch is amongst one of Central Highlands best backmen. Mitch, (Jenks) is one of the toughest opponents most forwards come up against. Jenks was a key part of the drought breaking 2018 Premiership and he has played in many finals since joining the Crows. Mitch is a great communicator and was keen along with Kody Dern and Brendan Howard for the Crows Under 18 players to keep together as a group and keep training during the Covid break. Mitch is married to Krystal, they have just had their first child.
As we know season 2020 was not to be but this did not mean the work stopped. Our coaches worked overtime on the recruiting front during the break and we look forward to seeing the rewards of this hard work during the 2021 season with some excellent signings of some very talented footballers. 2021 promises an exciting time on the field for our Crows.

Reserves Coach 2021
Shannon Brown

Shannon Brown has signed on as reserves coach for at least the next 2 seasons. Shannon is a former young Crow and a son of a legend of the club, Ron Brown.  We welcome Shannon back to “The Nest”.
Shannon has joined our “Murder of Crows” after some time away, playing at Avoca. Shannon has been appointed Reserves Coach for Season 2021–2022 as well as being a vital part of the senior playing group. Shannon brings a wealth of experience to the club and will be a valuable addition to our fantastic coaching group. Shannon, (Shiz), will further strengthen our already pretty imposing backline.
Welcome home to Shiz and also a huge welcome to Shannon’s partner Maggie who will also be playing for the Crows in the senior netball.

Senior Football
Under 18 Coach 2021
Kody Dern

Kody Dern joined Beaufort Crows in 2017 along with his now wife, Erin.  Kody coached the Under 15s for 3 seasons and made the move up to the Under 18s this season.
Kody has played football from the age of 11.  He began playing junior football for Sebastopol and Golden Point before playing in the TAC Cup for North Ballarat Rebels at age 17.  He returned to Sebastopol at age 19 and then had a few years off to focus on work and life.  He then spent a year at Great Western before finding his way to ‘The Nest’ for the last 5 years playing and coaching.
Kody is a fantastic junior coach; he is a great communicator, and the players respond to his direction and his calmness.  Under Kody the Crows Under 15’s played in several finals and made it through to the Preliminary final in 2019Kody had his trusty team manager alongside him for those seasons in Erin and they made a great team. They have 3 young children to keep them busy.
Kody is also a senior footballer and encourages our younger senior footballers to perform at the highest level they can. We can’t wait to see what Kody can do with the 18’s next season.

Under 12 Coach 2021
Jack Peacock
Jack Peacock and Cormac (Macca) Mahony are excited about the opportunity to coach the Crows Under 12’s team in 2021.
Starting with the Beaufort Auskick program, both boys have enjoyed success and leadership experience with the Beaufort Crows under 12’s, 15’s and 18’s.
Jack and Macca are passionate about football and the Beaufort club, taking on coaching roles while completing Year 12 and their final year in the Under 18’s.
While winning and losing is a part of any sport, Jack and Macca believe it is how the game is played that is really important. As well as developing basic football skills the boys will be emphasising the values of respect, leadership, teamwork and having a go.
