Jazz and
green for
the Weekend

I never had as many responses as I received on my last mail ''have a simple day''. I assume that the subject of getting closer to our basic needs is a big matter to most of you. But as we are here for Jazz, and the weekend is nearly here, a few ideas to make the a cosy weekend can do only good, so let's start!

This weekend we will visit the new additional location of Zig zag Jazz club,
expand our way away from Jazz to a new exotic land, and finally visit
a secret garden cafe in an old green house.

Jazz Jazz Jazz
Zig Zag came up with a surprise and on this fall he will present a fresh series of highlight concerts at his second location Noisy Musicworld. I already found a concert I cannot let my self miss - James Carter Organ trio. For the full rich program scroll down on this page. As much as Zig zag club is expanding and it's beautiful, I still recommend to visit the club itself for his coziness and good atmosphere.

Music around the fire
as we jazz fans tend to take our self sometime too seriously, I know more than a few Jazzers that do like to expand their view and musical taste. For this I invite you to listen to this extremely talented four women, playing on traditional instruments like the Saz and the hurdy-gurdy. One of them is a girl, who after a travel visit, learned the tradition of greek music and managed to present it her own way - Petra Sevgili. I need to tell you that this is a woman only concert program, but man are most invited to listen and I'm sure, can learn a thing or two!

The secret Garden Cafe
My last recommendation is for a little pearl I just found last week, right after writing to you. As much as I like to keep the existence of this secret to myself, I want to share it with you too. As described: ''The Café in the Garden Academy is located in the middle of one of the most beautiful green oases of this city'', and I agree with every word. It took my wife and me 25min to get there from Schöneberg and I assure you, that the beauty of these old green house, the sweet cakes and the fine herbal tea, was more than we could ask for a fun sunday morning.

My tip for you, even if this weekend is already fully booked and you can't reserve a seat, just go there, visit the garden, and I'm positive that you'll find your way to your cake and coffee deep in the green house, as we did. Good luck!

The Café in the Garden Academy

I allow myself to remind you that next sunday we have the Jazz salon Jam,
a great opportunity to all of us to meet again for a Live Jazz afternoon!
