Directory of life limiting conditions in children  

A directory of close to 400 life limiting conditions has been compiled by Dr Richard Hain and Dr Mary Devins garnered from data from death certificates as well as from children's hospices and specialist palliative teams across the UK. It is available for download. Read more

This year 1.5 million children will die from preventable illnesses 

Alarming numbers extracted from the WHO Immunization Data show what EurActiv calls 'A silent cull of the world's children.' 1.5 million children, most of whom live in Africa and South East Asia, are expected to die this year from preventable diseases. ehospice launches Latin America edition 

ehospice is pleased to announce the launch of ehospice América Latina – the first edition to cover Latin America and to be published in Spanish and Portuguese. The new edition was launched on April 2 and will help connect people working in palliative and end of life care in the region by offering a central platform where they can access the latest sector news and share good practice. The newly formed special interest group (SIG) for paediatric palliative care of the Asia Pacific Hospice Network (APHN) wishes to map what services are available in the area by means of a survey.
