Upcoming Meetings

Our upcoming meetings are listed below, new students are welcome at these meetings so if you are new, don't be afraid to join in! Zoom info for the meetings will be posted in Slack in the #announcements channel. See below for getting access to the team's Slack.
  • Wednesday, July 21 - 6:00pm-7:30pm: Team Meeting (Working through a programming task with Kevin!)
  • Slack Messages - Anytime - Everyone!
  • Other meetings may happen by student arrangement outside of the listed times above
We recognize that these times and dates may not work for everyone. Let us know if they don't and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are still working on the schedule for the remainder of the summer and into the fall.

Until further notice, the meetings will be held remotely via Zoom but we are optimistic about hybrid/in-person options for vaccinated individuals soon.

We've been getting quite a few emails from prospective students lately, and it's awesome! Like you all, we are very excited. You might be wondering how you can attend team meetings and start talking to all of us and that's going to be done through Slack. Slack is a chat communication tool that you'll need to install or bring up on your device. To get access to Slack, click the following link: so you can send an email to (The link will create an email with the correct subject line) and let us know we need to add you to our team's Slack. You must send this email to let us know, even if you've already been in touch.

Parents of prospective students, please have your student send the above email. We want them to be in Slack so they can talk to all of the other students and mentors, get assistance, and be a part of the team. It's a part of the team experience. If you are interested in being involved, email mentors to see about mentoring options or helping with meals later in the season.

Once in Slack, you'll notice a couple of channels that you have been added to automatically. The #announcements channel is where you'll find links and info about the team meetings. The #general channel, where we ask questions for polls and talk about all kinds of things related to the team.  The #random channel is a good place to post all kinds of interesting things that aren't related to much else. There also A LOT of other channels and they are more specialized. Take some time to explore Slack and get to know what else we have.

Once you have been added to the team's Slack - Please introduce yourself in the #general channel. We will welcome you with loads of emoji reactions and probably a threaded message. Introductions don't need to be elaborate - just a sentence or two about yourself.  Who you are, where you are from, why you are interested in robotics, or anything else you want to tell us about you! We want to get to know you!

New Students (Other Important Stuff)

Our team handbook hasn't been updated for the coming year yet. In fact, it won't be updated for another few months but that shouldn't stop you from reading it now. Yes, we know it's a bit long but it's a good read - it's also one of the best ways to learn about the team and get to understand a lot of the things you'll want to know.  You can find it at

Ask questions in Slack or via email when you have them.  We want to help, but we can't do that unless you ask! No one is going to make you feel bad for asking for help, we promise. We are here to help you learn.

As always, if you have any questions, please send an email to
