MARS is looking for a few good people

If you have been looking for an opportunity to get involved with a "make a difference" organization, MARS invites you to join them. As a non-profit, PPA affiliated school, MARS works hard to provide outstanding education through world-class instruction, and top-end amenities, for all attendees.

Helping out is rewarding and fun. You'll be collaborating with other photographers, while helping guide the school for future growth and betterment. Plus, it doesn't matter where you live in the country, because communication and reporting can be accomplished via email, telephone or online meetings to make it easy!

MARS could use help with -

  1. equipment inventory and distribution at the school

  2. model procurement and chaperoning during the week (based on instructor demand)

  3. writing and soliciting for grants

  4. effective and continuing social media presence

  5. conceptualizing, organizing and implementing any new or fun special events.

If you are a fan of the school, and want to help, please get in touch with us. This is a wonderful chance for you to be a part of a national organization where you can interact with others who share your passion for photography. Help us maintain the integrity and caliber of a school that is one of the most respected in the industry.

If you think you might be good at any one of these things, please e-mail John Capone at or call the MARS office at 609-778-8077. Only serious inquiries please.

MARS was founded with one mission in mind. To provide a quality education in photography to aspiring and professional Photographers. In our effort to accomplish this mission, we assemble a world-class roster of instructors, coupled with a seaside resort venue, unrivaled quality meals, and top rate-parties. And if that's not enough, we offer more scholarships and grants than any other. However, there are significant costs associated with keeping our efforts going at this caliber.

As a nonprofit, we're always in need of donations from generous patrons like you. If every person receiving this email donated just $10 to our mission, we would meet our fundraising goal. For the price of a couple cups of coffee, you can help us make a difference, and perpetuate the only school of its kind in the country.

In the spirit of the season, please give generously. Your tax-deductible donation to MARS will help us fulfill our mission to promote a high-quality experience and help punctuate the need for in-person, hands-on photographic education.

Thank you for your commitment to helping MARS succeed.

In Memoriam

MARS is saddened by the recent loss of Al Audleman.
In addition to being an accomplished photographer for more than 30 years, Al also loved teaching others. Many of you may have learned Photoshop from him, or studied with him in preparation of taking the PPA Certification test to get your CPP degree. Al believed strongly in the mission of the state affiliates and of the schools and gave so much to us through those events. His dedication to sharing his time, knowledge and his talent will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Audleman family.

Because of Al's penchant for challenging us to be better, and his dedication to helping photographers continue their education through professionalism, a memorial scholarship has been set up in his name. The goal of the Al Audleman Memorial Scholarship is to help fund tuition for students attending PPA Affiliate Schools.
