Ms. Vicki Miller and others will be sharing a children's Bible Story each week. We encourage you to watch these stories with your children, and talk about what they see and hear!
You can find all of these videos on the the St. Mark's Facbook Page or on our Parish Website There will be a new one each Sunday at 10 a.m. The recording will remain on the page so you can watch in as many times as you want, at your convenience.
COVID Conversations 1st Tuesday of each month - Noon
COVID Conversations will be offered during the Tuesday Noonday Prayer Service on the 1st Tuesday of each month. COVID Conversations will be a brief period during the service that provides a time to share our experiences, both good and bad. What have you been learning or desiring during this unusual time? Can we embrace the unknown? Can we be both anxious and faithful, both isolated and in fellowship, both afraid and relying on God? How is God speaking to you? Let's share and encourage each other during this space of COVID Conversations.
Wednesdays at 3pm
Mary Nichols will offer her regular Chair Yoga class online!
You can find it at the St. Mark's Facbook Page each Wednesday at 3pm. The recording will remain on the page so you can do the workout at your convenience.
How can I help?
Donations deadline extended through Sunday, November 15!
Drop off donations in the church office or bring them on Sunday.
Feed My Sheep
A team from St. Mark's works in the Feed My Sheep kitchen every Tuesday. They help prepare and serve the hundreds of meals that Feed My Sheep provides daily to our community. FMS offers these meals both in person and through numerous delivery routes. If you would like to help out, contact Ruthie Wilder or simply contact the Church Office at 228-896-7597.
St. Mark's is partnering with St. Michael's and All Angels in Lake Charles, to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. (Hurricane Impact Information) We are now collecting Wal-Mart Cards and monetary donations in the parish office and online (here-be sure to use the dropdown menu for Hurricane Laura Relief.) Please keep them and their community in your prayers.
Help St. Mark's Celebrate 175 Years!
The year 2021 marks the 175th anniversary of St. Mark’s ministry on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We intend to celebrate this milestone in a variety of ways, and planning has begun. If you have ideas about how we might commemorate this milestone or would just like to help with these festivities, contact Mary Nichols or the Church office at (228) 896-7597
Pastoral Care Teams
We have several teams of people who assist our clergy by making phone calls and other simple acts of kindness to help brighten the days of our church members. If you would like to help, contact Mother Clelie at (email@example.com) or the Church Office.
One way we can help from home is to keep our church freezer stocked with frozen meals! These are distributed as we find needs within our community. Contact Joel Alford at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions. You may drop them off at the Church 9am - 1pm Monday thru Thursday or by appointment.
Give to St. Mark's
As always the mission and ministry of St. Mark's depends on your generosity. Please remember to keep up your giving to St. Mark's if possible through this crisis. You can always make a contribution by mail, through your bank, or online at this link. Thank You!
