January 2020 CCCI News 

Y Achievers Youth Cooking Program - 
In January we completed the youth cooking class with the Y Achievers program. On the final night, the class under the direction of Chef Jeni Wheeler spent the better part of the afternoon working in the Faith Family Kitchen preparing dinner to feed their friends & family. They then served dinner for everyone. At the end of the evening, each of the students received a certificate for the course and their own apron. Some will use their new skills to help get a job in the summer or part time during school. All of them will now have some new life skills to take home.

    
Educational Opportunity for the Food Entrepreneur - 

As we write this, our first in the series of business classes will have started on Thursday evenings at Cape Tech in Harwich. These classes are geared towards the culinary entrepreneur and those who want to start a food related business. We cover everything from Entrepreneurship to Finance, Marketing, Sales, Technology, Operations, etc. And we have gathered a strong group of experts for each topic who not only have operational expertise but also have expertise in the food industry – check the lineup and sign up here.  If you are starting a food based business and have questions and recognize some areas where you need help, check us out


Culinary Skills Classes - 
Starting in February, we will be presenting a Basic Course in Kitchen Skills and we are now accepting applications.
This series is targeted at the individual who wants to work in the culinary field – and we all know the local restaurants can use the help.
