February 2019 Newsletter

Happy Valentines Day!

As we sit here in a quiet early February on the Cape, our team has been working on a number of events for those involved in the culinary community across the region – and plenty for you to participate in.

We have scheduled new cooking classes with our partners at KAM Appliances which are a great opportunity to learn some new skills in your own kitchen. Also, working with Willowbend in Mashpee, we have organized a team of 4 guest chefs who will be creating a gala dinner at our ‘Taste of the Cape’ fund raiser this Spring.

If your tastes turn to sharing your knowledge and working with others we are organizing a series of culinary classes for youth I the community and later this year we are planning a series of business & entrepreneur classes for Food Makers at Cape Tech.

Whatever your interests are – including trying one of Chef Alan’s recipes or learning about one of our newest Food Makers – enjoy this edition! (and partake)

Urban Agenda Grant funds Culinary Education Program for At-Risk Youth

We are pleased to announce that Cape Cod Culinary Incubator has been awarded an Urban Agenda grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In a ceremony last month, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito selected us as one of 9 organizations across the state to receive one of these grants.  With this award, we are developing a culinary education program for at-risk youth in Barnstable.  We will announce more details as the program rolls out in the coming months.  If you are interested in participating, we would love to hear from you.
