Event: The Power of the Readiness Mindset
For seven decades, strategies and tactics to manage resistance have been synonymous with the practice of change management. Yet, approaching change with a Resistant Mindset makes change more difficult, limits options, and triggers our brain’s survival mode. Thus perpetuating a toxic cycle of resistance that leaders must continually manage. In this session, Dr. Turner will share insights into the work she has done on the development of the Readiness Mindset. You will discover how using a Readiness Mindset breaks the cycle of resistance.
Date & Time: January17, 2021 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm PST Register via Eventbrite HERE. This session is open to members and non-members. Read more about this event HERE.
Event: Conversation with Change Practitioners
Changes are as unique as snowflakes - no two changes are the same. Our approach needs to adapt to the unique circumstances of the change. Some changes benefit from great structure and planning, others benefit by being held more freely, offering opportunities for experimentation and adaptation. Using a tool from The Group for Organizational Effectiveness, we assess a change to determine the right mix of planned vs. adaptive activities in your change effort. Together, we will establish terminology that is helpful in distinguishing types of change, discuss the prevalence of adaptive changes and brainstorm adaptive change techniques and tactics.
Date & Time: January 14th, 2022; 8am – 9am (Join at 7:45am for informal networking) Host: Lisa Kempton Registration: The Conversation with Change Practitioners series is a “member only” event. Members will receive an email from ACMP Greater Vancouver with registration information.
