Special Interest Groups
The ACMP Vancouver Board met in January for our annual strategic planning session.  We brainstormed many ideas on how we can continue to meet our Chapter goals of increasing our knowledge and deepening our connections and networks.  One idea that emerged was the concept of hosting groups who work in a similar industry (e.g., health care, post secondary, independent practitioners) or similar type of project (e.g., technology, remote/hybrid workplace).

Please email ACMP Greater Vancouver Chapter admin@acmpvan.com if you are interested in joining a discussion to further explore this idea and potentially lead a session in your area of interest.
Update: Mentorship Program
Our 2022 Mentorship Program is underway with a cohort of 4 mentors and 4 mentees.

Deb Beckett, one of the mentees, joined the program as an opportunity to carve out dedicated time to talk with and learn from a senior practitioner.  As an independent consultant, Deb really appreciates the regular check in with her mentor.  It is great to see some of our Advanced Practitioners giving back to the profession and supporting the growth of the newer practitioners in our Vancouver chapter.

Look out for further updates on the program in our future newsletters.
Update: New Member Meet up and CCMP™ Study Group
As we settle into the new year for 2022, the Chapter welcomed four new members to the association. Our first New Member Meet Up of this year was held online on Tuesday, February 15th. Members came from across several sectors including post-secondary, investment management and financial services. A few members were new to the field of change management while others had experience in this line of work. After the welcomes and introductions, the new members were provided an overview of the association, the services and benefits of joining the Vancouver Chapter and a high-level tour of the website. The members followed up with some great questions and showed interest in participating in a CCMP™ Study Group and the Mentorship Program.
The next New Member Meet Up will take place in May 2022.

If anyone is interested in joining a CCMP Study Group, please feel free to reach out to at John Boylan, Director, Memberships at jboylan@langara.ca
