All Members Show
Our Summer Show Begins June 24!
In light of the recent NS provincial re-opening announcement, our summer season begins!
The next intake/outtake is for the BLUENOSE 100 celebration, one week early and in time for Canada Day. We are excited to see your Bluenose themed artwork! Non-Bluenose artwork is also welcome.
INTAKE/OUTTAKE DAYS: Sunday June 20 & Monday June 21, noon till 5pm. No appointments necessary but please wait to be served inside the gallery.
This showcase may include ONE piece per artist, diptychs and triptychs must be priced as one piece. Even if you are not bringing a piece in for the June/July show, please pick up your April artwork on these days.
There are still many spots open for the Bluenose 100 All Members Show and even more openings for the rest of the year. You can sit alone, with another attendant or split the day into 2.5 hour shifts (add a comment with your preference when you sign up).
Your volunteer contribution is appreciated by everyone!

Forty pieces of the Earl Bailly Collection are now installed in our new storage units in the gallery premises. That sentence covers a lot of work by several people, including Joanne Young, Jennifer Harrison, James Gray, and Jan Hull.
We have covered the units with a tarp to discourage unofficial viewings. Most pieces are full-wrapped so can’t be viewed easily anyway. Others are not wrapped (but will be) and sliding them in and out of slots won’t be good for the frames. We’re working on a pictorial list of the contents that can be viewed prior to selecting art for display. The large Bluenose will be taken out to join the gallery’s show celebrating the 100th anniversary celebrations of that great ship this summer. Pieces in the kiosk in the gallery will be rotated this season as well.
Finalizing the rest of the EB Collection inventory is ongoing. There is a great deal of work remaining to do and we’ll approach the tasks slowly but surely. LAGS Members can be proud to belong to a Society that has ownership of an art collection of great historic and artistic significance.
