IMPORTANT DATES, May 2021 Edition
Hello LAGS Members! Starting this month we're trying something new: a monthly reminder of upcoming shows, dates, show-related info. This is to let you know it's almost time for our April show to come down and to start getting ready for May.
Unfortunately, there are no crystal balls when it comes to COVID-19. We are up over 200 cases in the province, but (at the time of writing this) not under lockdown here in the Western Zone. Until Dr. Strang advises us otherwise, we will remain open (and vigilant!).
If you are located in the HRM or anywhere else outside Lunenburg, please follow your local restriction alerts (https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/county-restrictions). Stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel. It's no big deal to miss this show, and we'll be happy to see you for the next one.
For those of you intending to participate in May:
REGISTER YOUR ART:
(https://www.lunenburgartgallery.com/register-for-shows) on or by Saturday, May 1. This adds you and your artwork to the master sales list and creates the label for the wall. Please make sure your information is correct - every time we have to make changes to the inventory it uses volunteer hours and paper.
INTAKE/OUTTAKE DAYS: Sunday May 2 & Monday May 3, noon till 5pm. We will not be booking appointments this month so you may need to wait outside a few minutes if we are at capacity inside the gallery. This month's showcase may include ONE piece per artist, diptychs and triptychs must be priced as one piece.
GALLERY ATTENDANTS: We LOVE it when you sit the gallery, we couldn't survive without your help. Sign up here if you can: (https://signup.com/go/VigrRQH). There are still a few spots open for May and many openings for the rest of the year. You can sit alone, with another attendant or split the day into 2.5 hour shifts (add a comment with your preference when you sign up).
If you are a first-time attendant, an experienced volunteer will meet you at the gallery and stay until you feel comfortable on your own. - There will be another non-themed show on June 4th, intake May 30 & 31.
- The Bluenose 100 show will open July 2, intake June 27 & 28.
- The 2nd Annual Foot show will open August 6, intake August 1 & 2 - please note artists are permitted to include 2 pieces in this show as long as they are 12" x 12".
