National Celtic Festival @ Portarlington

5-8 June

Thanks to all the pipers & other musicians who contributed and participated in Club events at the National Celtic Festival in Portarlington last weekend. This is where it all started for the Club - launching there in 2013.

As well as our regular acoustic piping concert in St. John's church (with a number of interested people trying out various pipes afterward), we hosted a Celtic piping session and Scottish smallpipe workshop. These were only part of the fantastic, ever-growing Celtic Piping & Drumming Program at the Festival.

If you missed out on the Festival this year, or would like to hear more, check out some of these great bands which feature various Celtic pipes - Fèis Rois, Likely Celts, Taliska & Working Dog Union.

Lord Newry Session

Please note, contrary to previous advertising, unfortunately there will not be a piping session at the Lord Newry Hotel this Sunday (14 June). The next piping event will be a Scottish Smallpipe Session at the Robert Burns Scottish Festival in Camperdown on Saturday 27 June 11am-1pm (see details below). The next Lord Newry session will be on Sunday 12 July.

See you there!
