International Uilleann Piping Day
Saturday 19 October
International Uilleann Piping Day was initiated by Na Píobairí Uilleann to celebrate and raise awareness of the instrument as well as the craft of uilleann pipe making. So, if you'd like the opportunity to hear, learn about and try the uilleann pipes, come along to the Richmond Uniting Church from 1pm - 4pm on Saturday 19 October. Experienced pipers, beginners and anyone with an interest in uilleann pipes or Irish music are welcome. See the flyer for more details or contact Matt Horsley on 0409 513 473 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just a few weeks after this event, we'll be hosting a piping session at the Beechworth Celtic Festival. The Celtic piping session will be at Hotel Nicholas at 3.30pm on Saturday 9 November. The session will follow on from the slow session hosted by the Likely Celts. We look forward to seeing you at the Festival over the weekend and playing some tunes with you!
Your friends in piping,
