¡Milwaukee Evaluation! Updates

Support Wisconsin Evaluators by attending their 2014 American Evaluation Association conference sessions. Session abstracts are now online. If you are presenting, send us your abstract. Wisconsin sessions include:

  • Science Cafés: Engaging Scientists and Community through Health and Science Dialogue (Emily Connors, Milwaukee, WI; Poster)
  • Responsive Indigenous Evaluation: A Cultural & Contextual Framework to Use in Indian Country (Nicky Bowman, Shawano, WI; Roundtable)

  • Systematically incorporating broader political contexts in advocacy evaluations: Challenges and Opportunities (Nicole Robinson, Milwaukee, WI; Poster)

Current Campaigns & Events

  • Tell us how you became evaluator. We are collecting stories about how you entered the field of the evaluation and research. Listen to Rose Hennessy's YouTube Video.
  • Evaluator of Color & Other Underrepresented Populations (Pipeline) Focus Group: As part of our pipeline initiative to build new pathways to increase the number of evaluators of color and other underrepresented groups (e.g., LGBT, rural, low-income), we will be conducting focus groups with evaluators of color and other underrepresented groups to learn about their experiences in the field. If you are interested in participating in the focus group, please sign up! Please share this invite with colleagues so that we have the broadest participation possible. The event is in Madison on Friday, September 26 from 2:30 - 3:30pm.
  • Social & Networking: Join us for a networking social in Madison at the Great Dane Pub on Wednesday, October 8 from 4-6pm. Meet your fellow evaluators, evaluation students, and evaluation consumers from around the state. Free appetizers. Many drink specials. Great Dane Pub is located at 876 Jupiter Drive. Event will be held in the upstairs bar. Lots of parking. Click here for driving directions.
