Collegiate Courier: Spring 2015

Dear students and parents,

Spring has officially arrived! And even if it's still 30 degrees out, many exciting developments are in the air.

Seniors: Soon, you'll be receiving your Regular Decision admissions decisions. Though it's easy (and understandable!) to feel some anxiety, try to stay calm, and maintain a sense of excitement about the process. And if that doesn't work, this article will offer a helpful perspective.

Juniors: You are now beginning to develop and refine your College List. This is an important responsibility, but also an enjoyable opportunity to explore your own preferences - have fun learning about, and envisioning yourself at, a variety of different colleges and universities!

Freshmen & Sophomores: Keep up the good work!  You are building an important foundation for your academic accomplishments and engagement in extracurriculars.

The college admissions landscape changes every year. Last year, it was the Common App. This year, it's the new SAT. We know you probably have a lot of questions about the new test, so we've asked a panel of seven test-prep experts to weigh in and share their knowledge and insight. You can read their responses in the blog below. The early admissions process has also seen many changes, and we've analyzed the latest trends.

As always, stay in touch! Follow us on twitter, at @cgateway6 for helpful reminders and guidance throughout the year.

Best regards,
Julie Raynor Gross, Founder & President
