Looking for a host for our 20th Anniversary Global Conference 2017

The TCI Network is in the process of selecting candidate organizations to host its 20th TCI Global Conference, TCI 2017. TCI is looking for a host who demonstrates creative capabilities to make a unique and interesting proposal for our 20th anniversary conference, with a proven record in working with competitiveness and cluster issues and in organising world class events in this field. Deadline for submission of interests is 15 April.

Save the dates! 1-3 June for 3rd TCI Oceania Conference, Adelaide

Building on the success of the two previous regional events in 2013 and 2014, TCI Network Oceania organizes the 3rd TCI Oceania Cluster Conference to be held in Adelaide, Australia, on 1-3 June 2016.

This year’s event will look at the role clusters play in driving regional innovation and competitiveness, drawing on local and international examples and evidence.

The 4 day conference will start with a series of B2B meetings organized by Eurochile. On 15 June, 6 regional clusters will be visited: Sustainable tourism, Agro-Food, Wood, Meat and Dairy, Creative Industries and Bio-bio region. Cluster and asset mapping - the opportunity for Canada

On 17 February, TCI member the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada hosted a conference that brought together cluster and asset mapping experts and practitioners from government, academia, and business. Participants shared their perspectives on the opportunity for the Canadian federal government to further develop and promote these tools, as well as explore opportunities for partnerships.


A project to foster clustering in Belarus


Supported by the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, discussions are underway in Belarus on the cluster approach as an innovation driver. After initial difficulties a number of concrete measures have been initiated in the meantime.

Our recent selection of articles includes different aspects of cluster based economic development with examples from Switzerland, Ethiopia, the Slovak Republic and West Java of Indonesia.
